Im going there for spring break with a friend, and was wondering if anyone has ever been to the area before and if they have any suggestions on what to do. His uncle lives there so im sure we'll have plenty of stuff to do, but i wanted the ,org;s imput.

go to the mucky duck restaurant...i actually think that place is on captiva island, which is right next to sanibel

tourist trap, but worthwhile if you are down there

Sanibel Island is very nice, you will have a good time there especially if it does not rain. The west coast of Florida has the best of Florida's beaches for the most part and that Island chain is part of some of the best.

There are a few beaches in Ft. Meyers that you must stay away from. There's crocs all over the place...

I can't believe they tore down the Edison bridge though...

I've been to Captiva and Sanibel and they are both extremely nice places--The beaches are good, so is the food...

Ft. Meyers is nice also. Anywhere in Florida is great though since I live in the midwest
