I deleted it off my computer after being psyched out by all the rhetoric RIAA was throwing around a month or so ago, and I'm going through severe withdrawal symtoms. Just wondering if anyone's still using it, if there's still a good selection of songs, etc. I haven't heard much about all the suits RIAA was bringing, so that should be interesting.

i never stopped using it. the RIAA made only a couple hundred subpoenas...and considering how many users there are on kazaa, that's nothing at all. i think jon stewart made the remark, "wow...that dorm is toast!"

unless you're sharing a bazillion files, you never need to stop using it.

I just for some reason got really worried when I saw that first list of usernames being subpoenas. I hadn't heard much news recently. Maybe I'll try this new one with IP blocker.

It is dumb to be scared....there are like 50 million users. Around 200 were subpoenaed.

The chances you will be subpoenaed = 200/50000000 = 0.0004 %

I think you have a better chance at winning the lotto.

And don't let them win! Don't let the greedy no-talent ass-clowns of the RIAA scare you. After years and years of music being used to make balding Republican White parasitic jasses a poopload of money, the masses have finally found a way to bring music from the musician to the people...screw the middlemen.

It has always upset me that the David Geffen is infinitely more rich than the sum of all of the musicians that made him his money.

i only download music about once every month... a few songs or so... and videos about every two months. i've seen no decline in sharers on any networks since... forever.

everyone's still there! join the collective.

All you gotta do is no share. You can download all you want.

i never stopped using it. i still download at least five songs a day. the selection is kinda crappy, but i'm not sure if it's any worse than it used to be... just don't share your files and you'll be fine.

The idea behind the RIAA's tactics is that if they can scare everyone into not sharing, there will be nothing good on there anymore and people will stop using it. However, the legal actions are specific to the US, so people outside the US (barring other laws specific to your country) are relatively safe sharing, for now.
