Hi !
Your BFF Web page is Awesome! Since you are such an amazing fan I tought I would tell you about what is going on with Robert Sledge these days. He has gone into his little homemade studio in his basement in Chapel Hill and just finished producing the band Hobex. You can check out a sample of his work on www.hobex.com - the three tracks that Robert mastered and produced are ain't pushin' baby, say yeah and sold down the river!
Hobex's new album is coming out very very soon and Robert has produced the new one in its entirity -(he is singing on some tracks with his incredible back up vocals) He is very meticulous and is doing an incredibel job.
This was just an update on Robert- since Ben's got his own thing now I think Roberts is on his way as well.
Anyways !
excellent website and Cheers to you AND ALL BFF FANS ! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Is this some sort of hoax? The mp3.com site says this is a band that's been around since '96 and doesn't give any listing to Robert Sledge.

They mention Rob in their site about recording with him.

calgar99- hello,
sorry if you were confused - allow me to also reference snuzz : Also please check out wisteria- the inside of the album cover has robert sledges name written all over. Sorry but this is not a hoax.

That would've been cool.......but unfortunately not. The only other stuff I know Robert's doing is supposedly working with Tom Maxwell(which I haven't heard anything from Tom for a LONG time) and he's producing the new Hobex album in his house over in Chapel Hill.

Nah....sadly I'm just a fan. I figured that HOBEX was probably going to be Greg Humphries. I do at times though try to be Snuzz on guitar and such, but I come no where close.

If Robert wouldn't mind, I'd like to learn the Sledge Bass Method. That would be just too cool, Robert Sledge instructing me how to play bass :-)

hey Snuzzbff,
It is so good to see Snuzz is doing so well. He opened for hobex about a year and a half ago at this place called mojo's in Charlotte with his band before he got the folds gig. Very sweet. It was amazing that the crowd was very limited in the amount of people who attended - look who's laughing now...
Robert, I think is sticking to writing and producing music but you will be the first one I will tell when he decides to start giving music lessons ! I am sure you could be his first pupil :)

Dude, that'd be awesome. Yeah, Snuzz is an awesome musician(as is Hobex). Although, I'm sure they're are probably a bunch of people who are already claiming to study the Sledge Bass Method(I myself am one.)

HOBEX: you should ask Robert to check out this web site (especially some of the way earlier posts about him and his setup, the Weezer deal, etc.) I think it'd be cool to see what he thought of all the people. It'd be really cool if he got an account here and posted something. That'd just be cool.
