Hi everyone. I'm in a band called Anna's Island. We just had 3 of our songs posted up on Pure Volume and so I'm letting everyone know about it so they can go let me know what they think. We've been influenced by so many bands from Beach Boys to Metallica from Rage Against The Machine to Blink 182 and Incubus to Ben Folds Five - it's hard to put a genre to it. They say Rock/Emo. Hmm, more like Classical/Metal/Pop/60s/Rock/Jazz/Hardcore/Emo/New-Melo
dic/ Music. But not all obvious on these songs. Go check them out and post a message here. It would be greatly appreciated and I'd be up for knowing what is the people's favourite.
I'm off to Uni on Saturday so the band will be on hiatus for a while but we do have other songs to be recorded, and I have 2 others for download if you contact me. (talk2seb@yahoo.com)
Anyway please tell your friends to download it and tell their friends, etc.

What is it about people who regard this as spam on messageboards? It's always the ones that answer, that are never the ones I'm waiting for a reply from.

I'm a huge fan of Ben Folds, and I'm in a band. We made music and I want Ben Folds fans to tell me what they think. Play CottonStar for the most Ben Foldsy, yet it's completely original material.

I wish people could just get over people talking about their own band rather than the othe messageboard crap.

This is not meant to be an offensive post, just pointing it out.

That was a lovely conversation but neither of you have mentioned my band. Have you listened to the music? I recommend downloading the tracks because the quality is otherwise quite poor.

Just because no one has "bothered mentioning" your music doesn't mean that their posts are irrelevant or uninteresting. I don't think you're too worried about posts being relevant. You want people to download your songs and rave about what a musical genius you are, and that's just not going to happen. People don't respond well to assholes, and the sooner you learn that, the better off you'll be.
