No it doesn't. It's a title someone's given you to get you to do something they don't want to do for free - it's like making the div kid at school milk monitor. No one respects it.

I'm not sure. It has to be fairly recent, though. I don't think I'd ever seen it, but it was great, especially for a more recent episode.

On the Simpsons? If you're talking about the reality show parody, I think it's from last season. But the joke about an island actually being a peninsula was used years earlier on the show with "Monster Island". I think the Critic also used a similar joke.

How could that be, though? How long ago? Because the joke was a parody of the twists at the end of reality shows.

Maybe reality shows have been around for a lot longer than I care to recall.

That was the first "island is actually a peninsula" joke. The same basic joke was used in the episode you're talking about from last year.

The inspirations behind the jokes differ, though. The "Monster Island" joke is funny because making it a peninsula makes it possible for Lisa to get away. The more recent joke is funny because they revealed that the island is actually a peninsula as a twist in the show, which parodies those stupid twists they put on those reality shows. It's so insignificant to the plot of the show, but the people were crying, overreacting, and felt like they'd been deceived.

It's the same joke, but with different intentions.
