Rock Star Game

Some of you may know about this, but there is this really cool Rock Star Game where you do stuff like Rest, Go on Tour, Practice, Write Songs, and Record Albums and Singles. As you get better with practice and touring experience, your ratings go up and you get more popular. As you get more popular, you can tour bigger venues and more countries. There are thousands of people playing this game and you can join little groups to compare your stats to someone else's. The best part is, if you forget to mess with it for a long time, you get points anyway. You spend points on practicing, rest, writing songs, and stuff. I think it's really cool and I mess with it for about five minutes every day. Click on this link to sign up.

I am in a group, but the join group doesn't seem to be working at the moment. If and when it does get working, the group name is 'Local Evil' and the password is 'bastard.' My ID# is 27329 if you want to compare stats until the group thing is working. I don't have great stats yet as I just started a few weeks ago, but I'm hoping you folks get me referral points. ;-)

HSX is cool for movies, but the music side of it blows gigantic chunks. I wouldn't waste your time there...

The thing that makes the movie "stock" trading work so well is that you get cashed out according to a movie's actual box office proceeds; so the stocks have intrinsic value. The geniuses who expanded this to music forgot to attach any actual value to the artist stocks. Thus the prices and appreciations are totally arbitrary.

And Chewbacca was a Wookie, but lives on Endor. It just DOESN'T MAKE SENSE...

I know about 25 of you signed up, it'd be cool if we all joined the group. Supposedly in a little while you'll be able to have festival shows with group members as well as compare stats.

Read the starting out thing as well as the FAQ. Apparently songwriting is more likely to go up if you spend a lot of points, but only a little in any case. I just usually spend 1 or 2 at a time on that and it goes up every 5 or 6 times i do it.
