A radio station in Indianapolis has this thing called the Cage Match every weekday night where they have two new songs battle each other in a battle of the bands type thing where people call in to vote for the song they like the best. Anyway, "Landed" is the challenger for tomorrow night.

Anyone in the central Indiana area could probably get the station at 92.3. They also have the music streaming online at www.wttsfm.com and you have to sign up to be a VIP...but you don't have to pay anything. The Cage Match normally starts around 7:45 eastern time. I know who I'm voting for.

Excellent... someone needs to record it, preferably at a higher quality than the streaming version on the Suburbs. Thanks for the heads up.

He's been two times before. The first time was for Rockin' the Suburbs which won five or six nights. The other was for Tiny Dancer, and a lot of Elton John fans called in saying how much they hated the cover. Stupid people.

It'll be up against "old WTTS favorites Lowen and Navarro, with "The Devil's in the Details." It's from their new album, All the Time in the World."

Okay.

Ben Folds won and he's going against Ben Lee tomorrow night. That should be a good one.

whoa... hey, i live in indy. i never listen to the radio. what's going on? i'm so confused. maybe it's not a good idea to rediscover the music i used to listen to during my teenage angst years... it's kind of fucking with my head. so.. um, what happened?

The Ben Lee song was "Catch My Disease." Ben Folds won last night and now he's going against G. Love and Special Sauce tonight.

G. Love's funkdafied sunny sweet goodness rocks--but I think Ben and his ironic wit will triumph.

What G. song?

Looks like it's "Landed" vs. G. Love's "Booty Call"?! Please, that's not even one of the good songs from that album. "Landed" should win, hands down.

Ben should win that one, though I really like, "Booty Call" a lot.

I like "Booty Call" just for the title. Maybe I should take G Love's subliminal hint...

Moe: Bea O'Problem! Bea O'Problem! Come on, guys, do I have a Bea O'Problem here?
Barney: You sure do!
Moe: Oh... it's you, isn't it? Listen, you. When I get a hold of you, I'm going to use your head for a bucket and paint my house with your brains!

G. Love won?!

From their website:
G. Love and Special Sauce owns the new champion tune, another from their latest album, The Hustle. It's "Booty Call."

Fucking hell.
