Ok, I found a way to download the original 96 kbps .wma file (the .asx extension just controls the stream I think) of the song as it exists on Sony's server, without saving the stream and transcoding it to another compressed format (eg. mp3). Here's instructions on how to do it (it's very easy and takes less than 5 minutes) since I don't think Sony would like it if any of us put the original file online elsewhere. I found another thread about this (http://forums1.sonymusic.com/eve/ubb.x/a/tpc/f/8701091/
m/3301021252/inc/1) and apparently this is going to be on itunes pretty soon.

Anyway, to get the original .wma file, download HiDownload 6. You can get it here:

Install it and open it up and then you just have to click the original link The Director posted and the program should catch it and you'll get a window with options about where you want to save the file (the default is c:/hidownload - I'd change it to the desktop). The file is 2.7 MB and I got it very quickly.
