When I say artists I mean in a more traditional sense like painting, but if you wanna throw in some movies about musicians or whatever then that's cool. |
that movie about michelangelo painting the sistene chapel was cool but i dont remember what it was called |
fuck off then. |
maybe i will |
It's called The Agony & the Ecstasy and it is pretty darned good. |
hmm... |
I'm on it/them! |
Modigliani with Andy Garcia was released recently. That was okay. Nothing special. |
Pollock rocks. |
Before Night Falls was amazing, good reccomendation. |
The Life and Times of Andy Warhol |
American Splendor is really good, I liked it a bunch. |
You know, I just had an idea: Instead of making The Rum Diary into a movie, they should've adapted The Kentucky Derby Is Decadent and Depraved. It's know and the original "gonzo" piece, and it would be cool to see Depp as Thompson again and some other dude as Ralph Steadman, and how Steadman reacted to America. The Derby was his first glimpse of the States, which would be kind of scary for an English guy, or anyone, for that matter. |
That'd be great. It might be hard to stretch it out to a feature length film though. |

webb READ IT NOW |

Okay, I gotta finish this Good Omens shit. |
Oh, I forgot to mention that I was thinking about it in terms of a short. |
Yeah, The Rum Diary showed me that getting a writing gig isn't the hardest thing in the world. It's actually pretty practical, as long as you know your stuff. You can make a living writing about bowling. |
Nice opinion, no-opinion. |
basquiat with bowie as andy warhol....or "i shot andy warhol" is good also, or "surviving picasso" with hopkins as the man himself is good too! |
thanks, bs. |
Oh man, it's not about Art at all, but art is the macguffin part of the plot: |
ive heard crumb is good |

Yeah, I have seen it. It's a goodie. |

my architect looks real good too |
i know this is off topic, but I just wanted to announce I finally watched Donnie Darko last weekend and I thought it was fanastico. |
My architect looks really good, it's going on my queue. |
Frida is amazing. I know it's not so much artist but have you ever seen the Woody Allen film Interiors, it's amazing cinematography. I really love the camera in it, the transition between scenes and so forth. Watch it and tell me what you think. |
