The painter in Amelie is cool, he's my favourite character. Other than that I can't contribute to this thread in any meaningful way.

I remember seeing one where Jason Patric was a counterfeiter who pulled off Rembrandts and shit. It was fictional and a pretty bad movie, but it was cool for the painting scenes.
