My Dad and I used to war on the first Micro Machines for the NES. Codemasters didn't have an official Nintendo licence or something, so the game was this mini cartridge that fit on the end of one of your normal games and then plugged in. Very odd.

I remember those things. I never had one. My dad and I never played together. He and I had different gaming strategies, so on any tandem game, we would suck it up royally. That being said, he spent as much time on my NES as I did.

My poor brother, the only game he liked was Tetris. and Dr. Mario

Dad didn't really like anything except Micro Machines. We had wars on that; something like an hour a night for a year. It's why I hardly play games now: goodbye time/life.

true. I only play on the weekends if I play at all. Usually, when spring rolls around, I'm lucky to play an hour a week. It's not that important to me, but it really does help me release some stress

Multi player Pro Evo Soccer was a defining point of my uni experience: back in at three, then a quick game turned into playing till the sun came up. Bad routine. I only got Prince of Persia three months ago and then haven't really had the time to play it.

Therefore for the drive to Brewer games (which took 1 hour) I would just beat Kirby twice.

Patricia 'Patti' Mayonnaise: But Mrs. Wingo, what happens to the fatty animals during the summer? Do they get hot?
Mrs. Wingo: Let's ask someone that knows that.

OK, a few thoughts about this thread.

-Kirby did not suck. I was very comfortable with my sexuality at 5 to play the game.
-I've gotten to Level 4 on Battletoads once, that's the farthest I could ever hope to get.
-Zelda rocked, Ocarina of Time rocked harder.
-Megaman was not so hard, well now. After 10 years of playing it, I've pretty much mastered them.

I have a Zelda jacket. This thread makes me want to play one of them again. Except for 2, I never liked it.

I'm with Genius on Megaman, they used to be difficult, but I can get through them with little effort now.

And how about Castlevania? After years of frustration, I finally finished 1 and 3 over the summer.

Beating Zelda 2 was probably the single most difficult challenge I've ever had in my life. But I did it.

I don't think you can get Link to the Past, Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, or Link's Awakening for the GC...

It's a good collection. Last year around Christmas I called around everywhere to find someone that still had the Gamecube that came with the Zelda collection. I had to go about 20 miles out of town to get it.

This was right after Gamecube came out. I guess it was two years ago. Some Gamecubes came with it and every place in town was sold out of the ones that did.

Grant, how's Zelda 1 coming?

And yeah, you can't get every Zelda for GC, but with the Gameboy Player, you can PLAY every Zelda on GC.

Also, you can play every Mario game prior to Sunshine on a Nintendo Portable system now.

That's not including Mario sports games, is it?

I haven't done Zelda 1 in a while... I just bought Advance Wars 2 and LOZ: The Minish Cap, so they have kept my hands full.
