Alright...now to do my little part in attempting to create some new topics of discussion around here. Answer any or all...add your own question...just enjoy the refreshing change of topic.

1 What is your favorite Theme/Amusement Park?
2 What park would you like to go to but never have been?
3 What's your favorite Roller Coaster?

1) Cedar Point is probably up there among the top for me...so many coasters, so little time. Followed closely by Kennywood in Pittsburgh, as it was a tradition to go every year when I was younger.

2) I really need to get to a Six Flags at some point. But any other decent amusement park that I've never been to would be good.

3) I've always enjoyed the Magnum at Cedar Point, although I'm dying to ride Millenium Force. The Gemini there is good as well. The Thunderbolt at Kennywood is great too.

I really need to get to the Six Flags near DC...try out that coaster that was new last year where they strap you in and you pretty much hang as if you're flying. Anyone been on that one yet?

I liked the Magnum at Cedar Point.. but Millenium Force I wouldn't go on.. the line was backed up anyway.

I really like King's Dominion.. the coasters are excellent over there.
A friend of mine and I went there last summer.. it was the second time for me.

We also went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg for the second time last summer, too. They're fairly close to each other.
Of course the last time I went for both of those was when I was 10 and terrified of rides.. I got to enjoy them this time..

Six Flags NJ is okay.. but I want to go to the Magic Mountain one or whatever it's called.

I like Kings Dominion the best.
Want to go to Cedar Point
Best coaster.... ummmm i would say the Outer Limits at KD, but it bangs your head around too much. I like the Wild Cat at Hershey Park. It's a nice wooden coaster.

Six Flags Great America north of Chicago is pretty cool, there are a good mix of coasters. Kings Dominion was a lot of fun as well.
I haven't been to Cedar Point in many years (+15), so I've had a real jones to make a trip there.
My favorite coaster is the Desperado at Buffalo Bill's in Primm, Nevada.

I've never been on Outer Limits but you say that it bangs your head around and you like the Wild Cat? I thought the Wild Cat banged my head around too much...I can't imagine what Outer Limits must be like then.

Lightning Racers at Hershey are awesome.

The Wild Cat was bumpy, but not too bad. The Lightning racers are awesome! I have this shirt that says "Lightning" on it, and I wore and rode on Lightning. We won, and everyone was all "Your shirt is lucky!". Yeah. I thought that story was going to sound cooler than it really did. Oh well.

Actually, I just got over my fear of coasters a few days ago believe it or not. I went to Worlds of Fun, KC. I went on the Mamba (totally rocked, 205 foot drop), Boomerang, Orient Exress, and Timerwolf.

Cedar Point all the way. :) I am lucky to live close enough that I go nearly every year.

I would love to go back to Kings Island. I've been there before, but not since I was about 10.

Millenium Force is by far my favorite coaster. I haven't ridden the new Wicked Twister (or whatever it's called), but that one looks just like the Superman Coaster at the Six Flags of OH which was cool, but nothing to write home about. I also love Magnum and Raptor. :)

Mathias, the coaster where you are "flying" is X Flight. I went on it last year (which was probably against my better judgement seeing as how it broke down while I was in line) and it's pretty cool. If you go on it, be brave enough to let go of the hand grips, because that makes the ride like twenty times cooler.

God, Schmod. I want my monkey-man!

Disney World by far trumps everything... well except most coaster parks... but thats the best part Disney is in a class all by its self. I'm going to be an imagineer in the near future

I've been spoiled because I've grown up an hour away from Cedar Point, so every other park I've ever been to I've been terribly bored at...Cedar Point kicks Disney World's ass, by the way.

If you are considering going to Kings Island, Six Flags, etc...don't bother. Go to Cedar Point, you will not be disappointed.

1. Even though it's technically 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, and about 25 resorts, Disney World has my favorite themeparks and is my favorite vacation destination. I think that it has the whole package and I think it has a great atmosphere.
2. Cedar Point and/or Islands of Adventure. Both are suppose to have kick ass rides so I really want to go to both, but I don't know if I'll ever get to Cedar Point. Also Busch Gardens and King's Dominion.
3. This is a hard one. I've been on a lot of good ones. I'd probably have to say either Space Mountain in Disneyland (yes there is a difference between Disneyland and WDW) or Medusa in Six Flags Great Adventure, though I want to experience so many more. Best ride I've ever been on though is probably Tower of Terror in WDW or the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland. What can I say, Disney makes damn good rides.

1. Disneyland. I know it so well, it's comforting.
At Christmas, the haunted house was decorated in Nightmare before Christmas-It was fantastic.

2. I aspire to visit Cedar Point & DisneyWorld. & there's some big park in Japan that's supposed to be awesome.

3. Top Gun & Stealth at Great America. The Beast at King's Island.

We're going to Six Flags Magic Mountain (now has 16 rollercoasters- 1 more than cedar) in a couple of weeks; I'm thinking my list might grow/change.

DisneyWorld can blow me. I hate how commercialized evverything is. Always out to make a billion dollars a day. Anyways, Cedar Point is the best and you will find no place better. The incredible view of Lake Erie from the top of the coasters is magnificent!

We just went to Canada's Wonderland near Toronto - I love it there! Overall, though, I must say that the fun factor decreases at theme parks as the years go on...the lines seem longer and less tolerable than they used to.

As an enthusiast who's been to about 12 or 13 different parks, I feel I can be considered a quasi-authority.
1.Nothing will ever beat Cedar Point. It has the most bang for your buck. It has the tallest and fastest coasters, plus they're very close together, and there's a ton of them. They also have some laid back rides for those who dont like the rough ones. I have many fond memories there...wearing masks...throwing ski balls...cussing out the camera girl...impersonating a roler coaster officer...ahhh

Kennywood is a close second. King's Dominon and Canda's Wonderland are great. Carrowinds wasn't too bad either. I miss Idora park
Disney's coasters are weak...at least, they used to be.
2. I would like to go to some of the parks in California...have yet to make it there.

3. My favorite all time ride is the magnum at Cedar Point...nothing like seeing Canada on a clear day, or looking straight aheaad and seeing all that blue. The first hill is amazing...and you really feel like you're perpendicular. The Raptor is great as well.

A close second is the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood at night...the lights along the track become a blur and the weightlessness combined with a long day of riding provide a perfect ending in the cool Pittsburgh air.

The Rebel Yell was a fun ride too.

i love that lame ride at Cedar Point that used to tell you you were being magically whisked away to Alaska. But then the ride was all outer spacey and when I got outside I was still in Ohio.

YEAH YEAH! DISASTER TRANSPORT! Man I used to mess around on that ride. I think it was so slow you could actually get out.

I ate a sandwich on the Mine Ride and switched cars once...

Oh yeah, when I see the opneing for a movie at Regal Cinemas or Cinemark, it's a roller coaster ride...it reminds me of Disaster Transport, so at the end, the car pulls into an imaginary station...I always yell "WELCOME TO ALASKA" but nobody gets it...
