Actually it's still ugly. And my light bulb burnt out. So now it's even darker.

I was gonna start this thread earlier, but feared rejection.

Oh, plus I ran out of time and had to get ready for work.

Lightbulbs burning out, tweezers in the drains...how is this new apartment measuring up?

It's a fix'er upp'er, I suppose. On the bright side, I think I have shades coming today. Take that, nosy neighbors!

Also, I just bought light bulbs. They seem to be working.

Oh boy! And I have all these unread emails from over the weekend! My day just got much more literate!

Oh man, I'm out of ideas again. This thread isn't working out like I planned.

It can be a work in progress.

When we first moved into our apartment, the complex told us if any lightbulbs went out, we should always call them.

Almost immediately, the bathroom lights went out.

I showered by candlelight for about a week.

The kitchen light went out a few weeks later. I never even bothered telling the office.

Finally, last year, I bought the special bulb and replaced it myself.

I was so used to not having a main overhead kitchen light after four years that I almost never remember it's there.

I now have shades! Also, my television is working. And I hung up almost everything I need to. I still have a sideways mirror to put on the wall, but I'm gonna need some heavy duty screws or something.

That last sentence sounded naughty, I guess.

My mouth is all dy.

Gross.

I'm having dinner with a friend tonight. I wonder if we'll have Chinese food.
