"What's with this 4.6 shit??"

Wow, we should maybe talk about Ben Folds more...

Okay, so "One Down" was the 2nd song. Did he say what was the first? Or did he only end up doing 3.6 and calling it good? Because as I read it...

"One Down" = 1
"Morgan Davis" = 1
"Girl" = 1
"Losing Lisa" = .6
Total= 3.6

So... yeah.

that does sound familiar, now that you mention it...

And "Errant Dog" and "Effington"... I'm not familiar. Where are these from? (Please don't laugh at the ignorant girl.)

I was just thinking that it's crazy that NedGump hadn't heard of the 4.6 songs situation. It happened in the 90s, but his only reference was the song "One Down", which was written for the 4.6 needed... yeah.

NICE
I freaking HATE Make Me Mommy. I'd rather listen to Girl 40 times before Make Me Mommy.

I'm really surprised at how much you all dislike these songs. While I admit they're not his best, they are at least interesting. I think One Down might be my least favorite from this collection, and I'm just going to go ahead and say Make Me Mommy and Girl are both better than Bastard. That song seriously bores me to tears.

The only thing I didn't like about these songs, is that when he started his story live, you knew exactly what the next 3-4 songs were going to be.

altho Bastard is one of the better songs on Silverman, I like the chords and the rhythm and shit, most of the Silverman songs are way more boring than that.

bastard sounds to me like the closest approximation (on sfs) of the kind of songs he was putting on rts, but a rather boring implementation of that style. probably one of the top three on sfs tho.

Bastard always makes me think of Baby Britain by Elliott Smith.

I think I've mentioned this on here before and people were like "uhhh....no".

But it does.

Me too. I heard Baby Britain after Bastard, and I thought for a moment, "wait wat is this bastard" and then I remembered that it sounded different.

Anyway. I agree, that's all.
