In a NJ paper it was publicizing Ben's show in Englewood. It says he's playing with Stephin Merritt (of Magnetic Fields) and Marc Anthony Thompson (of Chocolate Genius). Now, it sounds like they are just there for that show, but does anyone know if it's Ben solo or with them?

I was also happy to see a Ben Folds concert being promoted in a local newspaper (I live on the border of Norther Jersey and NY)

"Ben touched me very lightly on the shoulder, looked me in the eyes and said, 'What's up?' I said, 'Uh, not much.' Then his hand went down my back a little- more than I was comfortable with. He invited me over to watch movies- I thought. He started, basically, rubbing himself down with baby oil. I was really shocked, I didn't know what to do about it. So, I called up Robert...The rest is history." -Darren Jessee

It's Ben solo. Each guy gets a set. They're doing 2 shows in Brooklyn. The box office person said each guy is doing a 40 minute set (Ben in the middle slot), so not too much Ben for your buck. Hopefully the other 2 guys will be worth seeing.

By the way, the Friday nite show in Brooklyn (Oct 11th) has special tix available that include an after show party with the artists. Don't know exactly what kind of access to Ben that means, but it's also got an open bar, so my wife and I are gonna do that. We also get some kind of special membership to BAM. It was a bit expensive, but we don't get out too often, so what the heck.
