Well hello there people.
This is interesting to see that I made the .org news!! I found out because I am the goon that bought the Ben Folds vinyl off eBay for $377!!
I got a message from speedy_the_drummer which reminded me where I knew the name from even though I haven't been on here for ages!
I basically wanted it badly and bid for it, but then the price shot up and I didn't really want to pay more than $100 (although from the UK it's all in £ sterling), however with my friend I thought I'd bid up to see how high the highest bid was going to go for until I realised it was an automatic bid and in the last 10 seconds.....I won. AGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
So then I promptly paid and in fact though that was a few days ago I received it today in great condition. But I can't afford that sort of money, so I guess I'll see if one day I decide to resell it for that sort of amount.
However I think I will display it proudly in a nice vinyl frame and keep it intact.
But there is a story for you.
Long live the Folds Five!

*shrugs* People value different things. If I had the cash, I'd happily spend $400 on a record that was rare, and that I really wanted. But I'd knee-cap anyone who spent $400 on drugs, or alcohol, or an item of clothing. So y'know.
