dreamin is pretty lol |
The Greatest Man is just.........woah. |
OH MY GOD HE'S JUST GONE ALL SHATNER ON US! |
i like the chorus melody toward the end in Greatest Man at least, it's got that simplistic nursery rhyme feel that was in a lot of Pinkerton. |
haha yeah exactly. i think he recycles bits like that a lot lately actually. there's only so much you can do with that particular melodic style. |

that particular melodic style |
it's growing on me. |

no i didn't like weezer circa MB. i mean, i defended beverly hills, but that was partly tongue-in-cheek. |
Everybody Get Dangerous is a bloody joke of a song. |
yeah, that one's not so good. but dreamin', greatest man, troublemaker are all pretty enjoyable. and cold dark world for the most part. |
Yeah, I don't mind most of these. |
whatever, its like they ate their pork and beans and then recorded an album of their farts. |
im listening to greatest man and I hate half of it, and then after the pretty chorus/harmonies I start to like it a little. |
It's.... different than MB/Maladroit/Green which seemed like the same album 3 times over. It's got.... a lot of stuff to try and digest right now. It's like 10 different bands got to play 15-30 seconds of music and someone c&p that shit together. |
I don't think Green was much like Maladroit or MB. It was a lot more straightforward, catchy and simple, and didn't delve as much into metal wankery. I like Green quite a bit still. |
Green is in a league all of it's own, just as Pinkerton and Blue are. |
iawtp as i've just listened to it again. I do enjoy green quite a bit. |
you all download and listen to this, but no one has listened to the new death cab yet?? |
if someone could enlighten me, my only real exposure to weezer was island in the sun. and even then i remember hearing it on a trailer to a mary kate and ashley movie. are they really worth a listen to? what i mean is are they worth investing a looksee? |
you've heard more than island in the sun i ass-ure you |

it may or may not be better than green. i'd have to hear the other two tracks that are out there. i'd say so far it's easily the best of the last three albums though (and i like maladroit for what it is). |
The breakdown in Dreamin' is good. |
so when does this album come out? |
I like that it really sounds like a joint effort this time round, possibly more than any other Weezer album. Not just Rivers and what has in recent years, sometimes felt like some fairly anonymous sounding backing musicians. |
that's a strange answer to drew's question |
