yossarian - i say it was a fluke because the directors cut of donnie darko was a lot worse than the studio cut - to the point of making it a bad film.

Just watched the preview for "The Cove". I think I'll spend the entire film crying and hating the world, but I feel like I need to see it.

Also watched the trailer for "The Informant", which looks 'effing hilarious.

All I'm saying is, when we split the cheque three ways, the steak-eater picks the pocket of the salad-man.

the preview actually looks like it might be watchable.
But the reviews not so gracious.

Usually there's a good reason why such films remain unseen.

there's thousands upon thousands of great films each year that are never even heard of. it has very little to do with quality and more the ability of the filmmakers to "play the game".

this movie wasn't "invisible". it had a name cast. it's surprising it's so unheard of.

Adventureland was a decent flim. I'm actually GLAD Reynolds wasn't in it that much. The trailer made me think he was a lot more involved in the story, when, by the end, he wasn't all that much.

um, no, he was a supporting character. but a large amount of the plot hinges on his character. He was good in it.
