Fox has greenlit a Ben Folds biopic, a tale of his rise to fame in the 3 piece band, oddly named Ben Folds five, through his increasingly ridiculous solo career, and finally to his blaze of glory days as the tambourine player in the supergroup, Crazy Fucking Washed Up Geriatric Assholes, along side Bruce Willis on harmonica, and Gary Busey on a trash can.

Fox has announced that so far they have commitments from Greg kinnear to play Darren Jessee, Roseanne Barr to play Robert Sledge, and Gary Busey to play Gary Busey, because who the fuck else could?

The part of Ben is said to still be up for grabs, as Gary Busey may be the only human insane enough to handle it. Other prospects include Dana Carvey, KD Lange, and Ed Norton.

Screenplay by William Shatner. Directed by Rob Zombie
