yeah, pineapple express was way good compared to most of the shit here

"to be fair, i have read a few funny things on [the org] and there are people pointing out good new music but very often i've clicked on the address and a hologram of a turd came steaming out of the computer. if, as the name of the site implies, i somehow caused that, then i get down on my knees and pray for forgiveness to the gods."

I might go see JCVD at the Alamo tomorrow. I've been to there like 4 times in the past few weeks. Can't get enough of that place.

Oh, and everyone... see Let the Right One In. Great vampire movie.

Talking about Iraq... my failsafe method to win any argument on the dorg.

X:If you could be a superhero, which one would you be?
TB: Jesus...
X: Jesus wasn't a superhero.
TB: He wasn't?
X: No.

No hard feelings to the benfolds.org unless that's what you want in which case you can all go smoke a ten foot dick? Is that in the spirit? God bless you all.

Dark Knight
Wall-E
Milk
Rachel Getting Married
Synecdoche, New York

I didn't actually see very many more movies than that.

You gain some respect in my book for having seen Let The Right One In.

Oh, and I watched the first 30 minutes of The Wrestler tonight. Will see the rest tomorrow, but it is pretty awesome so far.

+1 on rachel getting married

forgot that one, that was all-around great

I can't make a Top 5. Great movies I saw were Wall-E, Milk, The Dark Knight, and W (uh huh)... the only movie that really pissed me off was Choke, which was just awful.

I will see Frost/Nixon, Button, and Synecdoche.

Ben Folds isn't 50, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't had 6 wives. Is this album even by Ben Folds? This review makes me wonder.

zach and miri was a sad disappointment on two levels, the seth rogan level and the deeper: "is kevin smith going to ever find his magic again?" level

magic again? the only legitimately good film he's ever made was dogma.

zack and miri and burn after reading were good though. add them to my list.

i'd give the nod to amy over dogma, but i think we agree in principal. those looking for him to live up to the level of "clerks." need to rewatch "clerks.".

Drew is right with Chasing Amy, it was pretty stellar, i also thoroughly enjoyed Mallrats and Clerks is of course classic.

but jersey girl, clerks two, jay and silent bob strike back and zach and miri were all sad attempts in my opinion.

After seeing The Wrestler, I will slot it in at #5 as a tie with Doubt. Also, JCVD was pretty entertaining. Probably the only time I'll see a Van Damme movie in theaters.

This may be a really stupid statement, but I think we know far too much about movies waaaay before they ever come out these days. For instance, Zack and Miri. Sounded great, sounded hilarious on paper. Kevin Smiff, Seth Rogen (whom I enjoy). Yet before it even came out people were saying it was terrible, and I think partially because of that I never got around to seeing the whole thing.

I mean, it can be cool to know that X movie with Y star is being filmed next year and also has people A B and C in it. But back in the day (like the 80's and presumably the 70's and beforehand) I don't think as many people knew what was coming out until they actually saw the trailer. IMO this gives people way too much time to get over the movie before it's even been released. Takes a little bit of the excitement out of movies these days. Anyone know what I mean? Just a thought.

let's go with the usual stuff maybe, something dark and ominous, like losing your penis is a bad thing
