I guess I should give a true update on the relationship status of Pointer. I'm feeling much more confident, but it has yet to yield the relationship I'm after. There are two girls that I've had good conversations with in the last week. The first kept giving me the eye while I was at my apartment pool. Quite good looking, and we could tell that we were both interested. Got into a conversation for about 30 minutes until the following happened...

Me: So where are you from?
Her: Well, I'm just here for the summer but I live in Atlanta
Me: Oh, do you go to Georgia State or something?
Her: (Laughter) I'm sixteen!
Me: ...

Needless to say, I'm not NedGump and I didn't give her anal. In fact, the evening pretty much was done with there.

Now I went to Colombia last weekend and struck up a good conversation about music at a bar with a girl. She was quite attractive and obviously interested in what I had to say. I start making a move but she seems hesitant. Anyways, turns out she is 37 and married. We continued to talk and I made out with her a bit, but (and this makes me like her more) she had to keep reminding herself about the fact that she was married. She even expressed to my friends when I was gone that I was a great guy and I will find the right one someday. Also, she would have loved to be that right one, however she is already spoken for. I got her number and have talked to her some, but it's basically a mutual friendship.

I'm not depressed or anything. These experiences are building me up some and I realize I will find the right one eventually. However, in the meantime it seems that the only girls that I can have a descent conversation with are already taken (has happened about 5 times in the last few months). Perhaps I'm setting the bar too high.
