About benfoldsgroupie

I was born and raised in Hapeville, GA by old-school, organic hippie parents. We moved to Griffin nearly 10 years ago, where I graduated from GHS in 2000, took a year off and worked, then returned to school at Georgia State University. I recently moved back inside the perimeter so I can be close to school and take a full course load, but something prevents that every semester. So, one of these years, I'll be able to graduate with my undergraduate geography degree and hopefully move to somewhere that doesn't get above 85% humidity in the summer while being 90+ degrees. I'm figuring fall 06.

And I'd also like to do a semester abroad in the summer in Australia in the form of an ecotourism internship... if I set up a paypal account for that, would anyone donate any money?

Interests

Music, exercise, vegetarian nutrition, sleeping nude, eating said food, knitting, scaring small children, crochet, rock climbing, cherry popping, freak dancing, swing dancing, beating up old folks, walking, riding my bike, making fun of Michael Jackson, running with scissors and other pointy things, indulging in homemade baklava complete with THC, wire-tapping my neighbors, you know, usual 20-something activities.
I also make purses and scarves, I would love to sell them to people if they are interested.

Favorite Ben Folds (Five) Songs

Um, all of them

Best Moment

My best Robert moment occured when he uttered the words "I'll see you guys tomorrow" to Snuzz and Jason when they were dropping me off at my apartment. It continued when Robert slept in my bed and hung out with me. And when I got Robert to sign the old flyer I got back in the day, he was like "wow, I don't even remember giving this out!"

Another time that was just about as good was when Robert was on stage during the International Orange show and said something like "who was the girl who made the cookies? Those were good." Yeah, I shall be known for my baked goods.

Also, when I showed him my roomate's bong, he was like "that's some heavy-duty pot smoking." It made me smile.

ROBERT GAVE ME A PIGGYBACK RIDE DOWN THE STAIRS IN THE FRONT OF MY APARTMENT!!!! THAT NIGHT I ALSO GOT 2 PHONE NUMBERS, WHICH ISN'T IMPORTANT ENOUGH FOR ALL CAPS, BUT I JUST LIKE TYPING LIKE THIS BECAUSE IT SAVES ON WEAR AND TEAR ON THE SHIFT KEYS.

My best Ben moment was sitting in on the sound check at Emory. It was the most beautiful 20 minute montage of songs spanning the entire career of Ben Folds, with and without the Five. Then I gave him some of my banana nut bread and he walked off and didn't even let me know what he thought of it. That bastard. Joe was nice enough to talk to me, though.
**He did say that banana nut bread was his favorite when I asked the other day, but I'm sure he thinks I'm some crazy girl with nothing better to do than talk to rock stars about baked goods.

Then, there was the time when he gave me a 10 minute lecture on how to get into the recording industry. Hurrah! The list continues....
