that guy in the middle of the front cover art is certainly not Ben!, so who is he? and why not putting a picture of "the man" himself??? it would look better

Let me answer some questions for you all. The artwork was compiled by me and created into a collage. There were several pieces of art submitted, I just combined them all.
Secondly, Adam's track not being added is something that needs to be discussed privately, not online where everyone else can see. If Adam decides he wants that, I'll let Phil decide whether or not to say anything.
Also, if you guys want this site up and live for a while, I suggest you pitch in at least 1$ - We need to help Don out.

The track that's impressed me the most so far is Reevo's cover of Don't Change Your Plans. They took the song and made it their own as much as a tribute to Folds. To me, that's what a tribute album is supposed to be about.

I also dig Dion Read's Hospital Song. The song always felt to me like it should be an instrumental. Nice work.

As of right now, the site is gonna be down again tomorrow for the rest of the month. I'm trasferring to a new host, which should help everythng out, but it'll take a few days to go into effect.

Anyhoo... the site will be down for the rest of the month unless we get some more bandwidth (Not by my choice... we've used up 23 out of our 25 gb for the month already), which means I can't keep pay for this hosting by myself (This site has already quadrupled my hosting costs).

The word on it's resurrection depends on you guys. Jen, Phil and I have already spent a good deal of money and a LOT of time... the thing is, this site is using way too much bandwidth, and we can't afford it. I have posted a link to a PayPal account a couple times ( http://tinyurl.com/369jv ) for donations, and with 2 exceptions, Jen, Phil and I were still the only ones to put anything in. We can't afford to keep buying extra bandwidth (It's expensive), so to anybody that would like the site to go back up before March 1, PLEASE make a donation. No donation is too small... if everybody donated $1, we'd have all the bandwidth we needed... and for a 28 song double cd, that's not a bad price. Jen, Phil and I are going to pay the basic hosting cost each month which gives us 10gb of bandwidth... so unless everybody is ok with having the site up for 1 week at the beginning of every month, we need help. Sorry for the inconvenience, but that's just how it has to be.

I've been in contact with all of them. The biggest problem is once we actually look into their hosts, they don't allow mp3 downloads, so even thought they're offering, that doesn't necessarily mean it's going to work out.

I am contacting everybody who offers though, so it's not like we're just ignoring them. It's just not something that needs to be taken care of on the boards.

Matt... what Jen, Phil and I are paying for is 10gb of bandwidth a month. At the beginning of each month, it starts off at 0gb... but as soon as we hit 10gb, the site will be down then for the rest of the month. This month, we used 25gb in like 8 days, so 10gb will probably last us less than a week. Extra bandwidth costs $8 per 5gb. So for every $8 that gets donated, we will purchase an extra 5gb of bandwidth for that month. Once the bandwidth is gone, the site will be down again until 1 of 2 things happen.

1. It becomes April 1 and the bandwidth gets reset again

or

2. We get $8 donated and purchase an extra 5gb and the site will be back up then for more people to download

Guys, guys .... Have you ever heard of bittorrent?
It's a program that allows you download files while uploading as well. I'm looking into helping donate webspace, but seriously, donating $$$ will not be an ultimate resolution.

With Bittorrent, the only files you would be hosting would be a few KB's big, and all you would have to do is keep the program, like a little p2p program, open on your desktop, and everybody would be uploading to everybody else. It's the wave of the future, yo.
